We would like to congratulate all our students, teachers and friends with the feast of the Holy, Glorious and All-Praiseworthy Chiefs of the Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul. On this day, as we commemorate two of the Lord’s Holy Apostles whose spiritual strength and power establish the Church and continue to guide the faithful towards salvation, we remember also their life-giving sacrifice of martyrdom.
In the overcoming of personal animosities and disputes, these sacred Apostles brought the Gospel to the far corners of the world; and ultimately, in giving their lives in the radiant act of martyrdom, they shed their blood for the sake of Him whose blood has redeemed the world.
May their intercessions continue to guide and bless the Church; and may each of our students call upon their prayers and blessing in their studies.
(Please note that the Institute Office will be closed on Friday, 12th July 2013 in honour of this feast day.)
Troparion of the Feast, Tone 4

Kontakion, Tone 2
Thou hast taken to Thyself, O Lord, the firm and God-proclaiming heralds, the chief Apostles, for the enjoyment of Thy blessings and for repose; for Thou hast accepted their labours and death as above all sacrifice, O Thou Who alone knowest the secrets of our hearts!
