Orthodox theology, history and practice – brought to life, wherever you are
The Certificate Program is the Institute’s flagship course in Orthodox studies, taught through one of the most robust approaches to Distance Learning anywhere in the Orthodox world. Students engage in materials that range from earliest Church history to modern pastoral practice, from theology to iconography, from parish life to mission — all through a robust suite of learning resources that include live one-on-one sessions with expert instructors, real-time video classes with student cohort groups, interactive forum assignments, parish-based interactions, and much more.
Beginning in September 2012, the Institute’s Certificate Program has just entered its second year of operation and has already set a new standard in Orthodox Distance Learning. These are not the days of electronically-delivered ‘correspondence courses’: the Certificate Program in Orthodox Studies by Distance Learning is interactive, personal, and infused throughout with the Orthodox approach to education as a means of spiritual growth and development of a deeper Life in Christ.
