Conferences and Symposia
Since its foundation in 2012, one of the Institute’s primary missions has been to provide the best in Orthodox symposia and conferences to the United States, with a particular emphasis on the western USA. Since our first symposium was held in February 2012, the Institute has run nine international conferences (as of summer 2016), bringing together speakers from across the world and drawing in some 500 participants per year. Our symposia focus on themes of practical as well as academic interest in Orthodox history, theology and life, combining formal lectures, panel discussions, informal fellowship, Divine Services and other activities, generally over the course of a weekend.
The Institute is organizing its next symposium to be held in San Diego on January 20, 2018. Details are forthcoming.
